"Hi, my name is David Kaho. I’m an independent artist blending Alternative Soul, R&B, Folk, Soft Rock and Pop, born in Hayward, California. 

I moved to the Midlands in the UK at the age of nine, where my early interest in music began to develop. Growing up in a household where a wide range of artists were played from Prince and Michael Jackson to Elvis Presley, Metallica, The Temptations and Sam Cooke, I developed an interest for different styles of songwriting, music production and performance that continues to shape my sound today.

In 2022 I moved to London to study music production and vocal performance. My early experience in 2016 performing came through busking, which helped me develop as a singer perfromer while meeting and connecting with people in the industry through social media. 

My recent project, "Reflecion" was created using Muse and partly recorded at World Heart Beat Studios in London. The project presents a hopeful yet melancholic narrative, reflecting on both the good and difficult emotional experinces of mental illness, love and sociatal pressures.

Intended to feel like a live EP, Reflection makes use of  Wind instruments, Live Drums as well as Electric Guitar using minimal processing and a raw, organic production style. My high register vocals sit prominently in the recordings, giving the songs a direct and intimate quality that reflects the emotional tone of the project.
